I was born in San Francisco but moved to the East Bay, to Richmond, CA. I have experience cooking in restaurants: I worked at Soul's restaurant in Oakland and at Snapper's Seafood in Richmond. When I'm not in class, I spend a lot of my time reading to keep up with the news and world events and sports, and I like to read cookbooks, too.
Friends and family counted me out, and I'm going to prove them wrong: Those who did not want to help me and those who didn't think I was going to do anything in my life, are those I'm going to show that I will be successful in life.
I would love to own a food truck and a catering business, and help those who are less fortunate like myself. A lot of people like the taste of New Orleans, and I would like to bring that out here with a food truck with Creole and Cajun cuisine.
I started cooking ten years ago. After that, I had some setbacks in my life and I realized that I needed to get back into it again. So here I am--dedicated.
