About me.

I am from the Bay Area and grew up here. I have worked for standard oil, at a high school, for the Bay Area Unified School District, in e-commerce, in nutrition education, and at several temporary agencies. I enjoy walking, preparing meals, relaxing in comfortable environments. I have a Masters Degree in Public Administration, a Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, and a Child Development Site Supervisor Permit, and an AA degree in Child Development. I enjoy herbs, and I'm a lifetime learner. I like being around positive people in a positive environment.

My backstory.

I was in college, and graduated in June 2015 with another AA degree. While in college, there was a lot of incidences of abuse where I was living. As a result, the landlord decided he wanted to sell the place. I had a Section 8 Voucher to supplement my income, but I was unable to find a place in the amount of time they had given me. In the meantime, I stayed with family members. I mainly stayed with couples, which was very uncomfortable for me. I stayed in school the whole time, and eventually finished, with a lot of strain and financial problems. My health started deteriorating, and I didn't really have anyone to stay with, so I moved to a shelter on 5th Street. My debts started to escalate. I need to develop a more interactive approach to gaining a quality of life that is safe, productive, and prosperous.

My goals, moving forward.

I am seeking employment to help me through this. I've chosen to live in SF because of all of the jobs available. I retired in 2014, which has allowed some income to come in. The first goal I have is to build my financial stability and pay off my debts of storage fees, tickets from my car, and my school loan. I also need to make additional money to afford an apartment that will hold all of my possessions, so I can consolidate my storage fees to a more private and safe apartment. My other goal is to be in an environment that is inspirational, and with people who want to build, not tear down. I need non-destructive justice. The SRO that I live in in the Tenderloin is surrounded by destruction. Even some of the students that I was working with while I was a substitute teacher were destructive.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Being successful makes me happiest. I love having a sense of accomplishment at the end of the day knowing that I made a change. Having a great meal, looking glamorous. I like to walk into my living quarters and have it clean and organized. I like to prepare good foods. I like positive, progressive people. I write poetry - it helps me feel relieved, as if I've been through therapy. I like children and I think they're inspiring. I like talking to them and teaching them.
