Why I'm using HandUp for rent.

The past year of my life has been really hard for me and my kids. I'm still trying to rebuild my life, one step at a time. My kids are everything to me!! Right now I'm really in need of some help catching up on my past due rent. I've tried to catch up on my own, but I have realized I need some help.

About me.

I grew up in Pontiac, MI. My children are my whole world. Right now I'm beginning the process of finding a job that will be a good fit with my disability and also with my kids' schedules. I'm working with an employment specialist.

My backstory.

I've had a long history of allowing people to treat me badly. Unfortunately, I was with a man who caused a severe injury to my spine. I have since learned that I deserve better and I have started getting to know myself more and work on "me".

My goals, moving forward.

My goals include my family being together, being the full time Mom that my children need, want and deserve. Also, eventually I would like to get a car and maybe buy a house ....

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I'm proud of my children and the strength they have shown. Them being okay and happy is what makes me happiest! I will never stop advocating for them and for us being together as a family.
