About me.

I'm an African American who was born and raised in Detroit, Michigan. I'm 26 years old, the oldest of five, and I'm the mother of a wonderful five year old girl. I had been working part time until earlier this month, when I gained full-time employment!

My backstory.

After the birth of my beautiful baby, I stayed with a relative. But it wasn't safe because she was getting abused by her husband. I had to leave for the sake of my daughter and myself because he was also emotionally abusing me. Escaping this situation left me homeless, but my determination to get back on my feet and be the best mother possible has led me back into housing, and I am now working to regain the stability that housing provides.

My goals, moving forward.

Due to some unforseen difficult times, I am searching for a new housing situation at this time. Along with my housing need, the vehicle I had been driving is beyond repair. My current goals are to continue working with housing agencies to locate a more stable environment for myself, and to obtain a used vehicle to help me meet these goals. I hope to finish my education within the year as well..
