About me.

I was born and raised in Pontiac, Michigan. I went on to attend Oakland Community College and National Institute of Technology (Everest), where I graduated as a certified medical administrative assistant. I worked at the Rochester Medical Group and I enjoyed learning and developing my craft. After having my first daughter, worked in the Pontiac School District for 12 years. However, I experienced many layoffs due to financial budget cuts in the schooling system.

I found another full-time employment position in Birmingham Public Schools as I worked a paper route, however, I was unable to pay all of my late bills and lost my home. My daughters and I have been thankful to work with South Oakland Shelter during our time of need and we are excited that we have been successfully housed and given a fresh start. We want to continue to move forward and we are grateful for all of the generosity that we encounter!

My goals, moving forward.

After I come out of this place of transition, I plan to maintain gainful employment with the Birmingham Public Schools, responsibly pay my bills monthly and work hard to build a cushion for unforeseeable emergencies. I also plan to continue to raise my beautiful daughters to be focused in school to ensure they will NOT have to struggle.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I love spending time with my three wonderful daughters and I want to provide them with safety and security in the future.
