Boys Hope Girls Hope (BHGH) is a non-profit offering after-school programming (academic and personal) support to underprivileged students in the city of San Francisco. Our program is 5 days a week and provides hands-on tutoring, life skills training (ie. how to set a table), a family-style community dinner and personalized mentorship. We help students get into great schools in the area, choose their classes, write their college applications, find the best fit for them, determine their college major and are there for them when they change it several times.

Our commitment to our scholars is over a long period of time. We begin working with them in middle school and stay with them through the end of their college career (providing them with scholarship money during this time). This means we dedicate our time and resources to serving the unique, individual needs of our scholars as they grow through school and through life. In June we celebrated 12 scholar graduations (4 from middle school, 4 from high school and 4 from college).

WHY YOUR SUPPORT MATTERS

In order to continue serving our scholars and helping them achieve their dreams we need the funds to operate efficiently and effectively in the competitive educational landscape of SF.

For some context, here is what your donation means to our organization:

$27 provides dinner for one scholar for a week.

$100 provides a graphing calculator for college prep/high school math.

$500 sends one scholar to campus camp.

$1000 covers one month of tuition at a top-notch college preparatory high school in San Francisco.

$2500 covers facility use and meals for one month
