ABOUT LOVE INC

Love INC of Manistee works to break the chains of generational poverty and enrich the quality of life in the families we serve. We bring Christian churches together, across denominational lines, to help the poor by meeting immediate needs such as food and clothing, to longer-term responses through relational ministries such as life skills training in our Family Life Center program.

People from all walks of life come through our doors. Gentle "thank you"s and soft acknowledgements for the assistance we give are returned on a daily basis. Once in a while one of our clients will express their gratitude in a letter.

Here are a few success stories that touched our hearts:

"I wanted to send you a note to again say thank you for all the help you gave me when I was in need. I have been out of work with no health insurance and no income. Then I had a heart attack. With one call, you helped me find health care, emergency food, and paid for fuel to heat my home...You also put me in touch with a minister in my area. You have really been a blessing to me in my time of need. When I'm back on my feet I hope to be able to help you folks out in some way. God bless you." (Allen H)

"I want to thank all the lovely ladies at Love INC for all the help they have been giving me and my family. We fell on hard times and lost our house so they banned together and got me and my family a place to stay for a week. They have been a great support group for me when I didn't think anything was possible. They made it possible and changed my life by making me realize anything is possible and there are people out there who care. I love all of them for everything they have done and are still doing to help me get back on my feet. It’s not just the big things they help with, its all the little ones that really help. Like gas so my fiance can get to work, helping me get my daughters school stuff, and the love and care they show to me and my family. I will always be grateful for them.
