Caitlin D’Aprano is our Founder and her dream is for domestic abuse, rape and sexism to be a thing of the past.

After only 4 weeks of marriage, her husband strangled her 3 times and she left with nothing; no visa, nowhere to live and no job. She had escaped to an emergency shelter and was looking for long-term housing. The first question she received from nonprofits was, “Do you have children?” When her answer was no, 98% of nonprofits said they couldn’t help her.

Caitlin decided to do something about it and created Willpowered Woman to provide more services specifically for women without children, who are experiencing intimate partner abuse. Resources specific to this demographic are limited, leaving many to struggle and cope alone from their traumatic experience.

A $50 donation covers phone support for our clients.

A $100 donation could cover the cost for one woman to attend our empowerment classes.

A $250 donation covers an ongoing support group for victims and survivors.

A $500 donation covers the cost of marketing to find more women who need our help.

A $1000 donation covers one University lecture to spread awareness.

A $2000 donation covers the recruitment of more volunteers to further our mission.
