About this Campaign
Sadly, 85% of Deaf persons experience crime and trauma in their lifetimes. These rates are 2 to 3 times higher than they are for persons who are not Deaf.
Each month we host a time for our crime victim survivors to come together, get support from one another, and realize each of us is not alone despite how lonely recovery may feel. We need funds to help offset the cost of the support group sessions, called "Survivor Retreats." Each support group session includes food, child care, a workshop about self-care, and transportation, all free to our clients.
