About this Campaign
United Playaz is working with local law enforcement, community partners and city government to hold our fifth community-funded gun buyback where everyone will have the power to remove a gun from our community.
A community-led gun buyback empowers us to cut down on the number of dangerous, illegal, and unwanted guns in our city.
We have removed over 500 guns off of the streets of San Francisco in past events and are hoping to reach a goal of removing 300 guns at this upcoming event. Additional funds support stipends for youth to conduct outreach and stay engaged in positive activities, support families with funeral expenses, and provide speaker fees to community members who share their testimonies with youth.

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to all of our donors and partners!! The Gun Buy Back was a huge success!! The breakdown from today's Gun Buy Back - while the number may feel smaller than the last the seriousness of the weapons was greater!! 113 firearms total with 6 assault rifles, 32 rifles, 23 shotguns and 19 semi-auto handguns. Thank you for helping to make San Francisco safer today!! Happy Holidays from our hood to yours!!
