The man in this photo is George, and that's his dear old pug who sadly passed away earlier this year. I met George about a year ago at Ocean Beach - he's a regular down there and actually lives in his minivan. George is a talented engineer (C and C++) but after a series of unfortunate events has been homeless for a couple of years now. You can read his full story here.

George stays connected with a laptop, but his most pressing need is to register his minivan and only home before it's impounded for badly expired tags. Before he can do that, he needs, in addition to the cost of the tags themselves, to get it smogged and insured as well as to clear the three overdue parking tickets that he's managed to accumulate. Once George makes it over this hurdle he'll be in a position to focus on his next big goal, re-starting his career as an engineer.

George is a good friend of mine who could us a hand up to make it to the next step of his life. I know we can meet this goal to make it happen. Every contribution counts - thank you for your support.
