Thank you for giving to Nat’s Birthday Campaign which raised $9,446.37 for homeless neighbors in San Francisco! Together you supported people right here in our community by helping them meet their basic needs to move themselves out of poverty. We wanted to share the story of two individuals whose lives you touched:

Beth lives with an encampment that moves around the Mission area, and fundraises on HandUp to help cover basic needs like food and clothing. This past month she reconnected with her daughter who lives in Central California who invited Beth to visit. With your contributions, Beth purchased a bus ticket to visit her daughter for the first time in over six years.

Oh my gosh thank you so much, I have enough money now to go home and see my daughter who I have not seen in over 6 years~ I am extremely excited to see her. Your help in getting me out to see my daughter is invaluable. Thank you so much.

Ulysses was homeless for over five years in the East Bay though he’s getting back on track with his life after securing stable housing. His next big goal is to finish school and become a radio broadcaster. With your help, Ulysses purchased a laptop and printer, the tools needed to be successful in college. His case manager at Abode Services in Oakland shared this note:

I can not express the joy I saw on his face when he realized that this actually belonged to HIM! Now he has the tools he needs to attend College and move towards his goal of becoming a radio broadcaster. Everyone who helped Ulysses reach this amazing goal will now play a part in his future!
