Summer is a time for fun enriching adventures for our YMCA youth and we want to keep these summer programs going! Our funding for summer program at the Shih Yu-Lang Central YMCA had ended in 2013 and since then we have kept our summer programs going by stretching our already-limited after-school program budget to fit summer. However, we believe that summer learning loss prevention programs for Tenderloin youth is a highly needed resource for our young people. With your help, we can raise money to build an even stronger summer program where we can enrich the lives of our youth with things like field trips to take them outside of the Tenderloin neighborhood and into different areas of the Bay Area to expand their learning. With your help, we can even increase the number of youth served by hiring more staff to work with more youth.
