The Mission of this Campaign is to raise funds for the transportation and lunch of low income students and parents to participate in the 2016 UC Davis Open House engineering & science activities.

Northern California Council of Black Professional Engineers sponsors an annual free field trip to UC Davis for 1-2 busloads of students and parents from Berkeley, Oakland and Sacramento area to the UC Davis Open House to introduce them to the engineering and science facilities.

For a majority of students, this is their first time on a college campus. The field trip is hosted and coordinated with the UC Black Engineering Association members who share their stories about the transition from high school to college and the college life experience.

NCCBPE transports students and provides lunch for the trip. The number of students included depends on funds available. We need your support so we can bring more students on this trip.

Together the college students, NCCBPE engineering professionals and secondary students tour the Engineering exhibits and science demonstrations.

This is an opportunity to get the youth inspired to study topics in technology and sciences while getting them excited about going to college. Your support can change the course of a child's life by allowing them the chance to visit and be exposed to the college atmosphere and getting them interested in science, technology, engineering & math at a young age.
