Detroit For Ukraine raised $0 on HandUp!
The Detroit Community Partnership for Ukraine, a coalition of local church and nonprofit leaders, is asking for assistance from the community to raise $300,000 to aid families whose lives are turned upside down by the conflict in Ukraine. The need is especially great as harsh winter conditions bring temperatures as low as 20 below zero. A majority of the refugees are women and children.
Funds will be used in four ways:
Organizations and individuals partnering on this project include: Reverend Jim Holley International Ministries in Detroit. Saint Clare of Montefalco Parish in Grosse Pointe Park, and the Pastoral Family Care Foundation in Poland. Lighthouse MI will be acting as fiduciary on this project and will transfer funds to each of the respective charities.
