Why I'm using HandUp for bus pass.

I'm happy to report I am stably housed. The bus is my main source of transportation, so bus pass would be very helpful.

About me.

I have been in the area for quite some time and I was working on obtaining my degree when life took a tragic turn.

My backstory.

My husband passed away in 2015 and our home went into foreclosure. After bouncing around from place to place, I found solace at SOS. I was lucky enough to live with a friend until I got back on my feet after leaving SOS, and am close to having my housing assistance in hand. I'm happy to report the overdue DTE bill is now taken care of.

My goals, moving forward.

I am so close to having my home, and am grateful the DTE bill was brought down to $0.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I would do anything to have my husband back. While I know this is a wish that is impossible to have, I have to be honest in saying what I would want most if I could have anything I want. His memory will be alive within me forever.
