I am requesting assistance for pet supplies for my dog.
I'm originally from Fortuna, California, a small town in Humbolt County. I moved to San Francisco to study for my degree in Photography. I ended up dropping out of school due to domestic violence and health problems. Recently I became permanently housed after staying in a DV shelter and the streets. I am using this opportunity to take better care of my health and wellbeing - a big part of this is my new emotional support dog Doge.
Previous to being housed, I was homeless for just shy of three years. I am a survivor of lifetime domestic violence and I finally escaped my DV relationship on June 5th of last year. I recently was diagnosed with Lupus and am working to regain my health.
I would like to continue healing from the emotional and physical damage caused by my DV relationship. On December 28th I got a service dog whom aides to my recovery and my past trauma and current health issues. I would also like to restart my studies for the photography degree.
Being with my service dog is when I am at my most happiest. My proudest moment was having the strength to leave the toxic and dangerous relationship. My wildest dream is to open a Domestic Violence Rehab for other DV survivors to help them recover from the trauma and prepare them to re-enter society the person they were meant to be!
I'm raising money for housing so I can have a stable home.
I'm raising money for a new transmission so I can repair my car.
I'm raising money for basic needs and utilities so I can take care of my children.
