I am using handup because unemployment picked my account to screen for fraud and they have stopped my payments while processing my identification documents. This put me in a bind with paying my rent, and I really need the assistance at this time.
I'm from Pontiac, Michigan. I've worked in the health care field for sometime until I had transportation issues and lost my position, since then I've been focused on different ways to make income including doing hair, making clothes, and other entrepreneurial ventures. Since the covid crisis happened, my customers have really dropped off and it's been more difficult to make ends meet. I love spending every chance I get with my son. My family is very dysfunctional which contributed to becoming homeless, but now that I've been living on my own i'm building stability for both of us.
I became homeless after over extending myself for someone who didn't care for me. I'm currently trying to obtain stable transportation so I can find a position that more consistently helps me to keep up with rent and pay off debts.
I want to go back to school for LPN, RN or Dental Hygienist. I want to be a successful entrepreneur and create all organic health products which I've been creating for the past few months. I'm starting a virtual class at the Build Institute to learn how to run a successful online business and I hope to increase my income through this venture.
What makes me happiest is being there for others and having my child with me every night.
I'm raising money for basic needs so I can continue to use my RV as shelter while I transition into housing.
