I'm raising money for housing so I can make sure we always have a roof over our head.

Why I'm using HandUp for housing.

My reason for fundraising is to keep a healthy stable environment for my babies. A constant roof with the same address that they know is home. To be able to afford my other bills such as car insurance, gas in the car, maintenance, and buying clothes for my children.

About me.

I was born and raised in Flint, MI. I've been working for a little over a month. I just recently got a divorce and I came to Oakland County to flee a domestic violence situation as well as find better working opportunities. I spend a lot of time with my babies, we go to the movies or to the park when I'm not working.

My backstory.

I was married to an abusive husband for 15 years. I went to the hospital after a bad fight with my ex-spouse and when I got discharged I immediately started looking for a job that wasn't in Flint, which is where he lives. After the divorce was finalized I didn't get any child support so I literally had to start over with nothing and no help.

My goals, moving forward.

My goals are to send my babies to a good school, to have a nice Christmas, and to become an LPN in two years.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I take pride in waking up every day and being to work and provide even while homeless. Being around my babies is what makes me happiest.
