I'm raising money for housing so I can have a stable place for my five children.

Why I'm using HandUp for housing.

My goal is to raise money so I will be able to fill out applications for housing and have money for the first month's rent & security deposit.

About me.

I was born and raised in Detroit. I am a proud mother of five with four daughters and one son. I spend all my time with my children, and also enjoy spending time with family. I worked in the fast food industry, and in my spear time I love to cook and bake.

My backstory.

I am in this homeless situation because I am a survivor of domestic abuse. I have been shelter to shelter, and even sleeping in my car. It has been very hard as a single parent, and since the pandemic it has been even harder for me and my family to get stable housing. I ended up with and eviction due to me fleeing from domestic violence's which created more barriers for me.

My goals, moving forward.

Moving forward I would like to have a stable place for my children and get them into school. I want to find a job, join a good church and enjoy life.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

My happiest and proudest moments is being with my children, and my wildest dream is one day owing my own restaurant.
