Why I'm using HandUp for my household and education.

I am fundraising for basic need items for my household and education needs such as books as well as supplies. I am using Hand Up because I am unable to buy stuff for my new apartment after being homeless for a number of years. I have been through a lot but I am strong, and I always advocate for myself and my family. My goal is to get my GED, go to college, and get my driver's license. I want to get a good paying job and become independent. Any donation is truly appreciated!

About me.

My name is Bubbles, and I came from Boston. I love Detroit and I love my new beautiful apartment. I like to watch movies, taking walks, and riding my bike.

My backstory.

I've been homeless in Detroit for over 3 years and struggled to get help. I advocated for myself to get housing but now I am struggling to make my new place a home. I do not have the funds to get basic items for my kitchen or bathroom, such as food, toiletries, and bedding. I am also signed up in a GED program working on getting my schooling done so I can become more self sufficient. I would love to work with people who have Cerebral Palsy in the future. I love helping people and I care about others. I need help raising funds for my school program so that I am able to afford my books. I love my new beautiful apartment. I want to stay in school and my apartment so any funds help. Thank you so much for your time and attention.

My goals, moving forward.

I'm working on my GED so that I can go to college to get a good paying job. I want to become self-sufficient. I am working hard and I am now already enrolled in a program to get my GED. I still need help to be able to keep my apartment and stay in school.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I think what makes me happiest is being able now to have my kids and grandkids come to visit. When I got my apartment, I was so happy and grateful. My wildest dream to graduate and become self-made.
