I'm raising money for contacts/glasses so I can see better in order to gain new employment opportunities.

Why I'm using HandUp for contacts/glasses.

I am using Hand Up because I have learned to put my pride aside and ask for help when I cannot help myself. My goal is to start back working after falling on hard times these past couple of years. My elderly mother became sick within the past two years. I lived with her in order to help her day by day. After caregiving for two years, she suffered from a stroke. I finally had to admit her into a permanent adult care nursing home. I depleted all my funds in order to get her into a safe and reliable home which left me homeless and trying to start over. My goal is to be able to support myself and help my child whenever she needs me. I am at peace that my mom is safe in her home and that I get to visit her often. Now, I need help in order to have a stable environment for myself. I need help paying for glasses so that I can properly see before gaining new employment in order to better myself and start all over. Any donation is greatly appreciated - thank you for your time and care!

I'm from Detroit. I care about my family and want to gain new employment so I can take care of my loved ones as well as myself.

I am working on getting connected to a job, getting my driver's license and being the best son to my mom and best father to my daughter that I can possibly be.
