I’m using hand up because I have a disabled daughter who suffers from adhd, autism, and a developmental delay. It is extremely hard to keep up with all her visits, and needs all on my own.
I am a 27 year old, I was born in Detroit, MI and I have primarily lived in Pontiac, MI for most of my life. I work at a hotel as a receptionist. I am not in contact with my family, I spend all my time with my three daughters.
I lost my daughter in 2014, I was living with my mother and then she kicked us out. Then I was pregnant with my twins, I wasn’t sure how to get a job, I was receiving SSI but I missed a hearing and was cut off from SSI. I was not taught how to apply for jobs or how to speak professionally. I was struggling to get through day to day. I didn’t have support and I fell into a dark circle.
My goals moving forward are to continue working at this job, and save my money to get things that I need for my daughters and I. I want to become stable for my daughters.
I have been struggling mentally with myself and losing my daughter. I want to get to the happy place again so I can be a better me.
I'm raising money for car repair so I can take my doctor to her weekly appointments and apply for employment.
I'm raising money for application fees so I can secure housing.
