Why I'm using HandUp for Rental Assistance.

I am using HandUp to try to raise funds to pay my rent until my section 8 voucher becomes active on my current unit.

About me.

I am single mother of 6 kids, and I love spending time with my children. I was born and raised in Pontiac Michigan and have had several jobs in the community over the years.

My backstory.

I was raised by my grandmother who passed away when I was thirteen, and have been homeless since then. Being a single mom of six kids has made it difficult to find adequate, safe, and affordable housing.

My goals, moving forward.

I would like to gain financial stability. I am seeking employment currently, and considering a program through Michigan Works that will teach my a trade.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

My proudest moments are raising my six kids on my own, and being able to be involved in their day to day life.
