About me.

Hi, my name is Dominique Fitzpatrick and I am from Detroit MI. I lived in Detroit my whole life. I work at Children's hospital as a part time house keeper. I have four children plus a bonus child my nephew, who I've had since birth. He's now three years old. At this time I can only work part time due to child care. My daughter was disable and has an eye disease which she will eventually become blind.

My backstory.

I became homeless due to my landlord selling the home we were living in. Due to the housing crisis, rent became unaffordable due to me only working part-time. We were sleeping in my car until I came to Lighthouse shelter.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to find a stable home for me and my family.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

My Lord and Savior and my kids keep me sane. They keep me going and make me happy. At times when I felt like giving up they will give me a hug and say the sweetest things. I want to become a better mom for them.
