My name is John Oliver and I am fundraising in order to obtain a security deposit so that I may obtain stable housing.

About me.

I have worked in the transportation industry. I have been in the city all of my life and I am a native from Detroit. I have traveled overseas and that has enriched my experience and how I see the city of Detroit. I plan to volunteer once I get back on my feet.

My backstory.

I ultimately became homeless due to the environment that I was living in. While living in southwest Detroit, drug traffickers wanted to seize my house and I ultimately fled to avoid the violent situation. Thus, beginning my relationship with homelessness.

My goals, moving forward.

I want to relocate eventually overseas. Currently, I am trying to find a decent paying jobs.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Living overseas makes me the happiest. By being able to travel I am able to enrich my experience while also living in Detroit. I like to travel and I also like to take in new experiences.
