About me.

I am from Sterling Heights, MI. I lived with my 9 year old grandson since he was 4 years old because his mother died of an overdose. His father has been in jail most of his life, so I am all he has. I worked for the Utica school system as head custodian. I lost my job because I could not work when he was off school and Daycare was too expensive.

My backstory.

I am homeless because I have full legal guardianship of my grandson since he was 4 years old, now 9. I worked for the school system, same school he was at, but they would not let me bring him to work with me when school was not in session. I could not afford to pay for day care as it is 4.50 an hour. I had to quit my job and didn't have any help from anyone.

My goals, moving forward.

I have to find another full time job in which i can work in group homes. I can work with the elderly which is my passion. The biggest goal in my life other than a job is to save money for a car that can get me to and from work and get to his school to pick him up.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I am happiest when I am with my grandson, we love each other. My proudest moment was when he graduated from kindergarten. My wildest dream is to take him (Jayden) to Disney world in Florida. I kn0ow that would be his wildest dream as well.
