Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I'm using HandUp to raise money for my internet and phone bill. I am self employed as an online tech support agent for several online retailers, so without these services it will be difficult for me to maintain a sufficient income to support both myself, and my 16 year old daughter who struggles with ADHD.

About me.

I am a 46 year old male who acquired custody of my daughter 6 years ago when her mother, who struggled with a heroin addiction, could no longer take care of her. I run my own business from home in web design, and providing technical supportive services.

My backstory.

I have been through several difficult challenges in the past few years. Between my daughter's psychiatric hospitilization, the death of her mother, and a diabetic infection I've suffered in my foot from walking on an open surgical wound for several months, it has been tough to get by. In an effort to provide for my daughter and myself, I've been working from home.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to continue to work & save up for a vehicle to increase my mobility and acquire new clients for my business. I love what I do, but I love my daughter so much more and I don't want our challenges (or my inadequacies) to inhibit or stop her from being the best she could be.
