Why I'm using HandUp for a security deposit.

I have found a great living situation that will help me end my homelessness and bring stability back into my life, but I'm struggling to come up with the money that will move me in. I'm hoping to get a hand up to elevate me out of my current situation and help me start the next chapter of my life

About me.

I'm originally from Warren, Michigan and have lived there most of my life. I have worked a variety of different jobs in my life. In my free time, I like to read and learn about the world.

My backstory.

I recently lost my job around the same time my mother fell ill. I moved in with her to help care for her. When she passed away, I lost the apartment and I found myself homeless. I keep looking for work, but I'm a little older and I keep getting passed over because of my age. Despite everything, I try to stay positive and plan for the future.

My goals, moving forward.

Once I get settled, I'm excited to start working again and hopefully save up enough to move into an apartment that will be a permanent home.
