About me.

I am from Pontiac, Michigan, and I have been living here all of my life. I am 25 years old, and I work as a CNA, and I have three kids. I do not have much family outside of my kids. My mom was abusive, and I was adopted twice as a kid. As I have gotten older, I have tried to bond with my family, but it has not ended well. I like to spend my time writing poems or reading.

My backstory.

I got into my current situation when I started leaning on a guy for help, until he started to get very controlling. He became mentally and physically abusive and tried to isolate me from everyone. When I tried to speak up against him, he would threaten to kick us out. After the last straw, I started sleeping in my car and calling around for help. I just wanted to keep my kids and myself safe.

My goals, moving forward.

I hope to find housing and be in a better mental state. I want to be the best mom I can be. I would like to go back to school and attend church more often. My goal is to become more open about my situation. At first, I was embarrassed about it, but I am not anymore. I want to watch my kids accomplish milestones, boost their self-esteem, and give them more opportunities to learn.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I am still trying to figure out what my wildest dreams are, but I think I would like to be able to travel somewhere nice. I would like to go horseback riding, go camping, and try pottery with my kids. I am happiest doing anything peaceful, as a family.
