I am using HandUp because I am a single parent trying to get on her feet and raise my children the best way I can.

About me.

I'm from Battle Creek, Michigan. I am single parent of three kids. I worked for the government at the VA Hospital for ten years. In April 2022, I resigned due to medical reasons and then became homeless.

My backstory.

I am homeless because I have no income and cannot work due to medical reasons.

My goals, moving forward.

I am waiting for my retirement, disability, and SSI and to see if they will give it to me. I am seeking help because I do not have a support system. I want to be able to take care of myself and my kids.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

My proudest moment was working in nursing, taking care of patients. I can't do that anymore and have to take care of myself.
