About me.

I am from Pontiac, Michigan, and I have lived here from birth until I was 21. I did home care and was a caregiver through MDHHS for 8 years. I have two boys, and we all have disabilities. My sons both have autism spectrum disorder and early childhood development delay, and I have a learning disability, anxiety, and depression. My hands are full, and I spend most of my time just taking care of my boys with special needs.

My backstory.

I got into my current situation due to domestic violence in the home, and also because we all have disabilities, so we were mistreated. What led to my current challenges is that I was dealing with trauma and abuse, and having to leave my home due to domestic violence. I have no one to turn to for support, not even family.

My goals, moving forward.

What comes next for me is becoming independent and changing my life for my boys and me, becoming more independent, and just being a better person for my boys. I am praying and hoping for a change through the grace of God.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

What makes me happiest is just raising my boys. My proudest moments are when I learn new things. My wildest dream is just being a better mother for my kids, and I am hoping to see a brighter future.
