About me.

I'm from Pontiac Michigan, I was born and raised here. I attended all the public schools. While in high school I attended State College of Beauty. I graduated from High School first in January 8th 1977 and May 1977 I graduated from Beauty College. I worked in a barber shop for 3 years. I opened up my own beauty salon! I worked for 29 years here. Then suddenly, I woke up deaf! 8 years after being deaf I received a hearing implant and now I am learning to hear all over again.

My backstory.

A transformer fell in the area that cause a power snag to my electrical box, that went to the circuit breaker that caused an electric fire in the house. I was awakened by the smell of something burning. Then I saw my smoke alarm going off. I could not see anything and headed to the doors. The smoke was so thick it was terrifying. I had to feel for my hearing device while I was escaping.

My goals, moving forward.

Just to move on and count my blessings! Go ahead to a peaceful living community, not having to worry about keeping up a house. I had thought about joining a senior community center to be more active and move around more.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Seeing my grandkids, seeing them happy makes me happy. Seeing my family come together. I love to bake, baking things and sharing.
