Milwaukee is working hard to house those who are experiencing homelessness! We have partnered with HUD and other private agencies to provide housing vouchers for people who are chronically homeless. But when people move in, they still need some basic necessities in order to maintain their home.

Simple things that we might take for granted like toilet paper, garbage bags, and basic cleaning supplies are luxury items for people with extremely low incomes. Help us provide housing start up kits for folks who are going into their own home for the first time in years.

You can also help us bridge the homeless services gap for shelter in the winter. Your contribution to the Milwaukee CoC Partnership’s HandUp campaign will support staffing and increased hours of operation for private Milwaukee warming shelters that keep people safe during times of freezing temperature in Milwaukee.

Your donation will be processed by United Way of Greater Milwaukee & Waukesha County. Neither HandUp nor United Way takes any portion of your gift in processing fees, so you can be sure that 100% of your donation goes straight towards helping those experiencing homelessness.
