Why I'm using HandUp for auto expenses.
I was recently mugged outside of my home and was severely injured. Now that I have recovered and received physical therapy, I am ready to seek employment as a chef. I have obtained a truck but it needs repairs and registration.
About me.
I'm from Austin, Texas and have been in Detroit 2015. i have worked at various restaurants throughout the city, I love to cook. Besides cooking, I enjoy archery, studying blacksmithing, being a dog Dad, and cycling.
My backstory.
I'm currently seeking employment, unfortunately the pandemic has hit the restaurant industry hard and I'm unemployed. I was recently mugged and I have PTSD from the event, I would prefer to use my own transportation to get to a job.
My goals, moving forward.
If I can get my truck running, I can gain full-time employment with my culinary skills and eventually by a home.
Other things I'd like to share about myself.
What makes me happiest is supply my own basic needs and being independent, it makes me proud to be self sufficient. I know I can be, I just need a little help to get back on my feet.
