Why I'm using HandUp for trade school.

I’m fundraising to raise money so that I can go to trade school to get a better job and it costs about $8,000. My goal is to gain employment in the skilled trades as an electrician or HVAC technician.

About me.

I am a hard worker and I have been working since I was 16 years old, but I never thought about the future until I started having children. I want to go to school, gain a trade skill and get a good-paying job so that I can take care of my family.

My backstory.

I’ve always been a hard worker and I’ve been stuck doing gig work wherever I can find it. My previous landlord retired and sold the home we rented for 12 years which is what led me to be homeless currently.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to continue to find work, go to school to learn a trade so I can earn more money for myself and my family. I want to teach my kids not to give up and stay honest to themselves and to each other.

I also want to have healthcare, take care of my kids and I want to control my future. I don’t want my future to be dependent on someone else. I really want to own my own home eventually and I just need a little help to get started on my goals.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I really miss my dogs who are staying with a friend until I am able to find a place where I can care for them again.
