I'm raising money for housing debt so I can pay off past utulities to qualify for subsidized housing.

Why I'm using HandUp for housing debt.

I am using the Handup fundraising, so that I can pay utilities and past housing debt that I accrued while living at a subsidized apartment unit. I was evicted due to circumstances beyond my control at the time and am hoping to be eligible for subsidized housing support again.

About me.

I was born and raised in Pontiac, MI until my mother relocated to Las Vegas when I was 6 years old. I have four grown children and a total of six grandchildren. I am a VISTA volunteer.

My backstory.

I am considered a chronically homeless person and have been struggling to find housing with my outstanding debts owed.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to continue my education in Science Technology Engineering and Math (STEM) programs and establish a non-traditional school for the under served in Pontiac, MI.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I am my happiest when I see a future where I am able to pay of my debt that is preventing me from gaining stable housing.
