Why I'm using HandUp for a car.

I'm employing HandUp fundraising for a car! One of my dreams is to take my grandchildren to the park, museums, and Sea Life Aquarium! I also want to be able to pick up my grandchildren from school. Part of owning my own vehicle is enjoying the convenience and experiencing a new freedom. Having my own car will allow me to transport and help others.

About me.

I'm an intelligent, ambitious, 50 yr old lady who grew up in Chicago, IL. My mother moved us to Michigan in 1987. I have one sister, one brother, four children, and three grandsons. I've previously worked as an interior designer, caregiver, and fashion consultant.

My backstory.

In 2017, I was going to college at WCCCD. My major is psychology with the goal of becoming a clinical psychologist. I worked full-time, went to school full-time, and I work with the deaf and hearing impaired. I was self-sufficient, goal-oriented woman who enjoyed inspiring my children to become educated. Unfortunately, I ended up an abusive relationship that did not end well for me and I lost everything.

My goals, moving forward.

My goals are to get a stable, safe, and secure foundation. I would also like to continue my studies in psychology. I want to start a non-profit organization and become a speaker for abused/battered women.
