Why I'm using HandUp for stable housing.

I am using HandUp because I want to accomplish a new start in life. I have two grandchildren that I need to get to know much better.

About me.

I am from Royal Oak Charter Township. I got into drugs at a young age, which landed me in prison for 31 years, in and out. Then while I was doing the last bit of my time, I decided to straighten out my life.

My backstory.

After struggling with addiction for awhile, relapsing, and quitting cold turkey, I had three strokes. I went through treatment and got clean, but ended up homeless.

My goals, moving forward.

I am going to use the tools that I get from this program to help me to get to the next phase in my life.
