Why I'm using HandUp for security deposit.

I'm using Hand Up to assist with security deposit and any other expense relate to securing housing. I will also use hand up to purchase appliance for my new home.

About me.

Debra Roberts born and lived in Detroit MI over 50 years. Divorced with 5 children to raise on my own. I thought I could do it on my own, and started drinking and my attitude contribute to losing my concern for what was important. I was living in GA and went into inpatient rehab, which cause me to lose my housing.

My backstory.

Not sober and mind clear and focused on what I needed to do to get my life back in order. My two oldest sons sent for and I relocated back to Michigan. I continue to seek services here in Michigan, and able to secure a job, then the Pandemic hit and I was without a job again and no place to live. I ended up sick in the hospital for a bowl resection while homeless.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to security housing for me and my two grandson that I have custody of. O would also like to go back to school and further my education. My skills, academics and chance at my BEST LIFE, my American Dream, MY HOME.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

My happiest moment is to be housed, and my proudest moments is spending time with family, and being able to provide for myself. My wildest dreams is one day owing a home.
