Why I'm using HandUp for a car.
I am using Hand Up to get a car. I have been taking the bus for years but it would be so much easier to make it to my appointments if I had a car.
About me.
I was born and raised here in Detroit. I currently have custody of my granddaughter and I spend most of my time with her.
My backstory.
I became homeless years ago due to drug use. While in treatment, I discover the Travelers Aid program. After receiving housing I was able to completely turn my life around.
My goals, moving forward.
My goal moving forward is to continue to take care of my granddaughter and provide her with all of the resources her mother cannot.
