Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.
I am using Hand Up in hopes of raising enough money to fix my transmission on my truck. I used to earn income by giving rides and I've been struggling ever since it broke.
About me.
I was born and raised in the city of Detroit. I am a father of 5 and I enjoy sports. I am currently unemployed but I plan to get back driving once my transmission is fixed.
My backstory.
I have overcome substance abuse and have been clean for 12 years now. I have earned my GED and have been volunteering with Travelers Aid for 8 years now.
My goals, moving forward.
Moving forward, I would like to improve my physical health and find stable employment. I would like to become a truck driver.
