About me.

I'm from Memphis, TN. I moved to Detroit in 2004 to help my uncle and aunt. I worked at Motor City Casino and Hotel. I have a family of three; my daughter Jerrica, who is 17, and my son Jerry Jr, who is 12. We mostly spend out time reading, going to the movies and family outings.

My backstory.

In January 19, 2019 I had a stroke and lost my home. I was placed on Medical Leave and my children and I had to separate to live in separate living quarters. I had no place to live at the moment which put us in a homeless situation. My daughter had to live with her best friend so she would be able to finish high school and my son lives temporarily with his Aunt. I had to go to a shelter to help better our situation, and that is SOS. In the past 8 months, I have been able to gain and keep housing in Pontiac, for myself and my children. Due to my health and the Coronavirus, I have been unable to keep employment. I'm looking for a little extra support this month with rental assistance, so I can remain housed.

My goals, moving forward.

My future goals are to find affordable housing for my family, get released and go back to work, and go back to school at Phoenix University in Southfield to finish my Accounting Degree. I hope to get my Bachelor and Masters in Business Accounting. I love my family and want us to have a future to look forward to.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

It makes me happy to know and see that my family is reunited together in a safe and happy environment. My children and I are reaching our education levels, which is one of my wildest dreams and a happy proud moment just to be in each others presence. I just want us to be in our Happy Home again. Thank you.
