Why I'm using HandUp for rent.

I am currently fund raising money because my LL is going to file for eviction on 9/13 (just a handful of days). I am a mother of 3 and a nursing student, my schedule is limited but I'm doing everything I can to come up with rent. I work as a substitute teacher between nursing school and parenting, but things got tough before the school season started again and now.

About me.

I was born and raised in Pontiac, Mi. I have three kids 11, 6 (boys) and 3 (girl). I work as a substitute teacher at my children's school when I am not attending classes or clinical for nursing school. I spend my time split between raising my children, working, going to school and I sneak in studying at the end of my day (current GPA 3.4). I will be graduating May of 2020 with my Bachelor in Science for Nursing.

My backstory.

I got into this situation when I decided to leave my children's father. We had a toxic relationship that affected our home life so I moved out with my three children. Reducing my income into one was okay while I had steady work at the school but over the summer without pay things just slowly became to come apart.

My goals, moving forward.

My goals moving forward are to graduate and to secure employment so that I can properly provide for my children. I am currently taking 2 of the 4 final classes that I need to graduate and the other 2 classes I will take in the spring. I plan on reaching my goals by just continuing to strive for them, one day at a time, I can see the light at the end of tunnel.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

Things that make me happiest are my kids, before we moved we stayed in an apartment where we were cramped, we now stay in a 3 bedroom house where they have a backyard and room to play indoors as well. This is why I have decided to reach out for help so that I can continue to stay in my home while I reach my goal of obtaining my BSN.
