I live in a senior high rise complex on an upper floor. The apartment doesn't have air conditioning, and I have a very hard time breathing when it gets hot. My apartment is always hot. The apartment complex has air conditioners you can purchase through them and have installed. I am fundraising to try and get an air conditioner for my apartment before it gets too hot. When I get hot I feel dizzy, sick and struggle breathing. Thank you for your consideration.
I grew up in Royal Oak, Michigan and worked mostly in sales. I moved to Georgia in 1982 and lived there until I moved back to Michigan around 2005. I enjoy reading, sewing and crafts.
My parents had passed away, and I was going through a tough time. I was staying with my brother and was struggling emotionally. Unfortunately, I started drinking and my health began to deteriorate. My brother kicked me out of his house, and I ended up homeless. I completed treatment was went to a homeless shelter. Thankfully, I was able to get help from South Oakland Shelter and move in to a Senior Living Complex. I am feeling much better, and I am grateful for the assistance I have received.
My current goal is to focus on improving my health and maintaining my sobriety. With the stability of having a home, I am hopeful my health will continue to improve.
I enjoy living peacefully and meeting new people.
