Why I'm using HandUp for my basic needs.

I am using HandUp to raise money for an air conditioner because my 4 year old son has sinus and allergy problems, and the air conditioner helps him breathe better.

About me.

I am a single mother of a 4 year old boy with severe allergy and sinus problems. I am disabled and have been unable to work for the past 5 years because of my disability.

My backstory.

We have been living in an SRO in San Francisco's Tenderloin community on fixed income for the past 7 years. I am currently unable to afford an in unit air conditioner due to me not being able to work due to my disabilities. Our studio apartment has very little air circulation and ventilation. The air conditioner would greatly improve his breathing.

My goals, moving forward.

I would like to get a bigger place for me and my son to live.
