I'm raising money for basic needs so I can go back to school**.

Why I'm using HandUp for basic needs.

I am fundraising for a laptop and bus pass so that I can go back to school at SF Community College the Fall of 2017. I want to better my education and do something that I love doing. I want to get my license to be a counselor at a group home, so that they don't have to go down the path that I went.

About me.

I was born in Orlando, Florida. I've lived in San Francisco for a year and a half. I used to be a drug addict, but I've now been sober for over two years now.

My backstory.

I became homeless because I was doing drugs. I grew up in a group home, I have been system-raised for the majority of my life. I didn't have much of a childhood and I experienced a lot of trauma as a child; I am seeking mental health treatment to help work through that trauma. Now, I am sober and piecing my life back together.

My goals, moving forward.

My goal is to go back to school, maintain a career, and have my own apartment.
