I'm raising money for school books so I can continue working towards getting my Bachelor's Degree.

Why I'm using HandUp for school books.

I have been going to school full time to try and get my Bachelor's degree. It is really important for me to finish school and get a good job so I can ensure my children are well cared for. I am fundraising to help with the cost of books. Even though things are tough financially, I know getting an education will pay off in the end.

About me.

I grew up in Detroit and now live in the metro-Detroit area. I have a passion for physical fitness and training. I have 3 children and enjoy spending my free time with my family. I enjoy reading in my down time and learning more about physical fitness. I have been going to school full time to get my Bachelor's degree in the hopes I can provide a better life for my children.

My backstory.

I've struggled with homelessness off and on for the past five years. Being homeless and raising my children challenged me to find a career and better myself. I've been without employment for quite a while and have struggled to provide for my family. I'm now in a housing program that has allowed me to stabilize myself and work on personal goals which includes getting an education.

My goals, moving forward.

I am currently in school full time trying to get my Bachelor's degree. Getting my degree would help me secure employment and provide a better life for myself and my children.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I am happiest when I am spending time with my children. My wildest dream in life is to own my own business.
