Why I'm using HandUp for a past due DTE bill.

I'm using handup because I am working to pay off a large DTE bill. I've been working really hard to continue to increase stability for me and my kids, and because of this I have a need to pay a debt that grew before my entrance into the shelter program to finally move out of the shadow of debt. I can't wait to be able to use my finances to empower my family and continue to build a better life for my children.

About me.

I lived in Southfield with my ex husband and 6 children before coming to the SOS emergency shelter. I worked really hard and was able to secure housing for me and the kids and have been working lyft and uber to boost my income.

My backstory.

I was in an abusive relationship and decided to leave after 17 years and 6 kids.I don’t want my kids to continue to live in a dysfunctional environment that can be dangerous, and I'm doing everything I can to provide to the happiest home for them.

My goals, moving forward.

I've been going to school to complete my degree and have a little ways to go. Right now I'm keeping up with my housing and plan to purchase a home after I pay off my student debt!
