I'm raising money for security deposit so I can move into permanent housing.

Why I'm using HandUp for security deposit.

I am looking to get housed, improve my health, so I can come back and be an inspiration to others. I would like to raise the funds to help with the security deposit or first month rent.

About me.

I was born in Chicago Illinois raised in Detroit Mi. I lived with my brother and mother the majority of my life. To take pressure off my mother financially I decided to leave school and pursue employment as a teen.

My backstory.

I had various hobbies as an adult which one was motorcycle riding. Unfortunately i had a horrible accident in 1994 which led me to be disabled. I had to learn how to walk, eat, and take care of my basic needs all over again. Which this was a struggle to this day still is. I got married and going thru a divorce at this time which led me to be homeless. The struggle of being homeless and disabled is extremely challenging. I'm trying to get my life back in order. I would love to go to school and be a peer counselor because I feel like i have a lot to offer people who are going thru struggles. I can certainly relate to a lot of heart ache and pain. It seems I have a gift of gab which a lot of people find very helpful in their situation. I have a great sense of humor.

My goals, moving forward.

My goals is to get my education back on track and financially stable. This is why I can really use a hand up to get my basic needs and modest housing secured. Any donations very helpful and appreciated. I look to help others when I can.

Other things I'd like to share about myself.

I will be happy one day when I have some grandchildren from my daughter.
